Getting Started
When you are assigned a Northwest Domain username and password, web space is automatically allocated for you. The default page for all personal web sites is index.htm. Below are instructions about how to access and update pages on your web site.
Click here if you are accessing a student web site.
Click here if you are accessing a non-student web site. (ex.faculty, staff, or campus organization)
Student accounts are limited to 10 MBs and non-student accounts are limited to 40 MBs. If you require more space, you may contact Dr. Wenlong Zheng at (660) 562-1381 or email him at zheng@nwmissouri.edu. In addition, if you find you are not able to upload a specific type of file, you may send a request to Dr. Zheng asking for the file type to be allowed on the server. All requests will be reviewed by Dr. Zheng on an individual basis.
Student Web Site
- The URL to your student web site is in the following format: http://catpages.nwmissouri.edu/s/last-two-digits-of-username/username. For example, http://catpages.nwmissouri.edu/s/64/s213564 to view the default page for the student with the username of s213564.
- To edit your web site from on-campus:
- Log onto the computer with your Northwest Domain username and password.
- Click Start --> Run.
- In the dialog box type in \\catpages\sroot\last-two-digits-of-username\username to go directly to your user folder.
- Once at your folder, you may drag and drop files into your web space or edit existing files.
- To edit your web site from off-campus using WebDav:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click File --> Open.
- In the provided text field type, https://catpages.nwmissouri.edu/updates/last-two-digits-
of-username/username.
Note: This must be https, not http. - Check the "Open as Web Folder" box.
- Click OK.
- A dialog box will appear for authentication. Enter your fully qualified Northwest Domain username and password. Note: Your username must be in the format username@nwmissouri.edu
- Once at your folder, you may drag and drop files into your web space or edit existing files. Note, you can drag files from your folder onto your computer and edit the files directly on your computer for faster processing. Then when you have completed the update, you can drag the files back into your folder on CATpages.
Non-student Web Site
- The URL to any non-student (faculty, staff and campus organization) web sites is in the following format: http://catpages.nwmissouri.edu/m/username. For example, http://catpages.nwmissouri.edu/m/bogus to view the default page for the non-student with the username bogus.
- To edit your web site from on-campus:
- Log onto the computer with your fully qualified Northwest Domain username and password. If your password has expired, contact Data Processing at (660) 562-1131 .
- Click Start --> Run.
- In the dialog box type in \\catpages\mroot\username to go directly to your user folder.
- Once at your folder, you may drag and drop files into your web space or edit existing files.
- To edit your web site from off-campus using WebDav:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click File --> Open.
