Each semester the Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Counseling
Research Symposium Series sponsors lectures that showcase research
in the behavioral and social sciences. The purpose of the program
is to create a culture in which students understand the importance
of scientific research in the behavioral and social sciences. The
symposia also give our students an idea of the variety of research
projects in which they could become involved.
Now in its fifth year, the Series has evolved to include one
faculty presentation and guest speakers recognized for her/his research
in the behavioral or social sciences.
This Series is made possible by funding
from the Culture of Quality for the Improvement of Teaching and
Learning.
