40th Biennial Convention- Highlights

The 40th Biennial Convention of Pi Omega Pi met in New York City, April 4-7, 2007. In conjunction with the National Business Education Association, the conjunction kicked off with a social. There chapter members and sponsors had a chance to get to know each other and begin the convention.

Led by National Student Representative, Allison Holtzer, the Friday business meeting included a presentation by the candidate for that position, Erin Goepfert. Throughout the day, members attended NBEA sessions, and Pi Omega Pi presentations were given by chapter members on varied topics including social networking, podcasting, ethics, and electronic portfolios.

The Saturday business meeting included a vote on the slate of officers for the National Council. The convention ended by attending the NBEA closing session. The 41st Pi Omega Pi Biennial Convention will be held in Chicago in April 2009.
