Majors & Minors

Our journalism and broadcasting majors are two of the most respected and awarded programs in the country. The Northwest Missourian student newspaper and Tower yearbook boast a legacy of decades of award-winning publications. Plus, students gain incredible experience in the award-winning radio station, KDLX (now KZLX-LP), and KNWT television station. The new Interactive Digital Media major allows you to learn the art, computer programming and journalism skills needed to produce the highest quality multimedia pieces. The department has a three-year degree program to take advantage of the trimester calendar and earn your degree a year early.
