The Northwest student chapter of SPJ is active in national
and regional convention activities and sponsors career-oriented
programs throughout the year. Regular programs focus on
media and the law, diversity in the newsroom and job-hunting
skills. The chapter is open to both journalism and broadcasting
students.
National Press
Photographers Association
The student chapter of NPPA introduces broadcasting and
journalism students to opportunities in the field of photojournalism
through industry-oriented seminars and trips to conferences.
AdInk
AdInk, the University's advertising club, offers students
the opportunity to learn more about advertising agencies
and specific skills required to advance their career goals.
Students tour regional advertising agencies and participate
in advertising campaigns for real clients. Many advertising
agencies today offer multimedia design and projection as
part of their services.
