KNWT Facilities
 KNWT is run out of Wells Hall on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University. Housed in Wells Hall are multiple non-linear editing suites for student and station use, a dedicated indoor studio where productions such as Bearcat Update and News 8 Now are produced, and a professional quality studio control room for live broadcasts. Equipment such as digital camcorders, lighting kits, microphones, and tripods are also available to members of KNWT. Inside Wells Hall you will be able to find the right equipment for any job audio or video, and people with the expertise needed to operate that equipment to its fullest potential.
The studio and control room in Wells Hall are packed with professional grade equipement that gives students working at the station marketable skills entering the broadcasting field. Experience on the equipment here at Northwest is very similar to what is found in the real world, giving our students a leg up on the competition. During productions like News 8 Now which is broadcast live, all the equipment is in use, and you can truely get a feel for what real world broadcasting is all about. The studio contains professional studio lighting, multiple cameras, and a gigantic blue screen. Custom sets can be built for any shows that are flimed in the studio, making the room fully customizable.
 The equipment available for student checkout is also very nice equipment. There are many 3CCD Sony MiniDV camcorders available for checkout, and recently 2 very nice JVC High Definition cameras with professional TV lenses were added to the fleet, inaugurating a new era at KNWT. The non-linear editing suites are Macintosh based, and have the required equipment to caputure video from a variety of formats, and edit them using programs such as Adobe Premiere, and Final Cut Pro/Express. With the facilities and equipment are available to students and members of KNWT, the only limiting factor your imagination.
