Mrs. Sara Rogers
Third Level Teacher

In third grade the students experience a variety of cross-curricular activities. We begin our year with a study of our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence while establishing our own classroom rules. Our studies continue as we explore various ecosystems and the life within, the culture of Mexico, African folk tales, our Solar system, penguins, and simple machines. Students are encouraged to use problem solving strategies in all areas. A balanced literacy approach is taken as we ensure success for all students in reading and writing. Different learning styles are addressed as students participate in plays, write reports, create their own folk tales, develop PowerPoint slides and make presentations.
