Physical EducationTeacher

The main emphasis of the Horace Mann Physical Education program centers around lifetime fitness and nutrition and activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.

Physical education is an integral part of the entire educational curriculum for all students and our goal is to provide each student with the opportunity to discover and grow in problem solving, critical thinking, cooperation, motor development, communication and self motivation. We want all students to discover the pleasures of physical activities and how it helps them to be successful throughout their lifetime.

Horace Mann students participate in a wide variety of activities from rollerskating, swimming and Fun Fitness Stations to lifetime sports, team sports and rock wall climbing. Our philosophy has always been that the more skills each student develops in Physical Education the more likely he or she will use those skills to enhance their quality of life.
