Mrs. Nancy Farlow
Kindergarten Teacher

In Kindergarten, we use stations to address multiple components of our curriculum allowing for the varying developmental levels. Our stations consist of an alphabetizing station, a book station, handwriting, math, and reading and writing the room.
We use themes as a fun way to incorporate our curriculum requirements. The themes used vary from year to year. Themes in the past have included mixed up nursery rhymes, apples and pumpkins, the farm, restaurants with food and nutrition, transportation, habitats, and Hawaii.
We incorporate a balanced-literacy approach in our reading program. All of the components of a balanced-literacy program can be seen throughout the day as well as throughout the year. In our classroom, we use a variety of technology experiences, a rich abundance of environmental print and hands-on activities daily
