Welcome to the Family and Consumer Sciences Home Page. Our Departmental focus is the preparation of professionals who provide goods and services which contribute to optimal individual and family life. Our programs have been available at Northwest since 1908. Our graduates are successful in many professional positions including social work, teaching, dietetics, child care administration, restaurant and institutional food service, merchandising of apparel and merchandising of furnishings.

The Family and Consumer Sciences Programs at Northwest are fully accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. The Didactic Dietetics Program has been granted the OBU DPD Program Developmental Accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education.
