It is located in Maryville Missouri, a small, safe, friendly community 90 miles north of Kansas City. Northwest prides itself on its dedication to excellence, and has won numerous quality awards. Most recently, it received the Missouri Quality Award in November 2001. Northwest is also known for promoting the use of computers by students and faculty. There is a networked computer terminal provided by the University in every residence hall room.
