About Maryville

Centered between three metropolitan areas, Omaha, Kansas City and Des Moines, Maryville is a natural choice for a relaxation and convenience.

A family oriented community, Maryville offers a variety of cultural, entertainment, and athletic events as well as hunting and fishing throughout the year. With 10 city parks, several small ponds, two lakes, a handful of conservation areas, the State of Missouri Arboretum, and an award winning 18-hole championship golf course, Maryville offers many options.

Founded more than 150 years ago, Maryville has become the commercial, educational and entertainment center for the region with events such as fairs, auto shows and rodeos. The historic Nodaway County Courthouse (built in 1882) is located on the downtown square and is surrounded by antique and craft stores, jewelers, florists, video shops, styling salons, unique specialty shops and traditional services that give friendly, helpful service.
